Welcome to my Children’s Corner! While most of my books are for the young adult audience, I have a heart for children’s literature as well. (My degree is in elementary education, and I’m a licensed teacher, so it’s kind of a requirement…)
Because of this, I’ve begun my Illustrated Fairy Tale Classics series, a collection of picture books of the original fairy tales retold. Check out this Children’s Corner to find my new books, free content, and more!

I asked my readers what kind of children’s book they wanted, and their overwhelming response was that they wanted a picture book based on the original story (which is over 100 pages, by the way).
After studying the original versions of the story, my illustrator and I decided to mingle fact with fiction by including illustrations inspired by the very real story of Beauty and the Beast – the story of Petrus Gonsalvus. I also chose to move the narrative from the traditional omnipotent to being told from Belle’s point of view.
