National Fairy Tale Day is finally here!!!
First of all, I want to thank you all for coming to hang out with me! I know it’s not the same as in-person (Can you tell this extrovert is a little starved for some REAL talking-hugging-people-ing time?) But we’re going to have a BLAST today. And just so you know what’s on the docket, here’s the schedule!
How It’s Going To Work:
Basically, each blog post will be like a new party event. And at the end of each blog post will be a link to the next one. I you get lost, just go to the “Blog” page and look for the one that says, “Party Even #1) and search from there to see which event you were on.
Each “event” will be different. Some will have links to free or discounted books. We’ll have a contest, a new personality quiz, a funny fairy tale video compilation, cover reveals, and a read-aloud video to share!
I’ll have instructions for each activity in each post. If you need to comment to participate, such as in the caption contest, you’ll do so in the comments. If you want to interact with me or others, do so in the comments! The more commenting, the more fun we’ll have!
Why the website instead of Facebook?
Well, to put it simply, I like having everything on my site. I don’t have to worry about Facebook event glitches that kick readers out. (It’s happened more than once when we hosted parties on that platform), and I like having a place where I get to keep my lovely readers safe and included by my rules, rather than someone else’s. This way, if you have a young reader, you won’t have to worry about inappropriate content on my site.
It also allows people who are not on Facebook to participate. You don’t need a social media account. Just you.
First Free Book
For those of you who have been with me for a while, don’t worry! I’ve got SEVEN more free or discounted books coming up! But I thought I’d kick us off with my perma-free book (always free…for now), Before Beauty: A Retelling of Beauty and the Beast.
This book is the first in my Classical Kingdoms Collection series and my Becoming Beauty Trilogy, and it serves as the gateway to the rest of my fairy tale world. It can also be read as a stand-alone. And it’s free on Amazon (Kindle), Apple Books, Kobo, and Nook, among others.
Can an accursed prince and a broken beauty move beyond their hatred for one another, not only to break the curse and save their kingdom, but to find love as well?
Prince Everard’s father spent the boy’s youth forging the prince into a warrior. Upon the king’s death, however, Everard realizes he’s lost himself somewhere along the way, and in his pain, makes a decision that brings a dark curse upon both him and the great Fortress that has so long guarded the people of Destin.
The prince’s sin doesn’t simply affect those of his citadel, however. Isa, the daughter of a local merchant, has suffered the prince’s hasty temper before, and it changed her life forever. When Everard’s final outburst cuts off his people’s source of protection with the curse, he demands that she, a crippled commoner, come to help him break it. All the while, Destin’s northern enemy crouches at the foot of the Fortress’s mountain, waiting for the right moment to capture the stronghold that has stood for a thousand years.
Can Ever and Isa move past their brokenness to save Destin together, or will they and their beloved kingdom remain under darkness forever?
Buy Before Beauty today to escape into the world of The Becoming Beauty Trilogy, as well as the Classical Kingdoms Collection, a series of fairy tale retellings for grownups who still believe in sacrifice, true love, and the magic of happily-ever-afters. Even though Before Beauty is an introduction to both series, it can be read as a stand-alone as well.
So what do I do now?
Easy. Download the free book if you haven’t, and then go on to Part #2!

Yeah the lego one, I didn’t realize the answer should of really been focused on Frozen… I do t know Frozen well only seen it once.
@Natasha – It’s a mashup of multiple Lego sets, so it’s not strictly Frozen…lol. I asked my daughter to volunteer child labor to produce this. Lol.

Besides The Goose Girl do you have any of your other free books on BookFunnel? I’m at my 10 max already on Kindle… Thank you and loved the party.
@Natasha – I have short stories and/or secret chapters written for every book I publish. So there are dozens on there now, and I’ll continue to add them as they come out.
My favorite book of yours is A Cinders, Stars, and Glass Slippers.
@Ashley – That’s actually my favorite as well 😉
