And a launch like never before!
The White Slipper is available!!!
So there is a WHOLE lot going on in this graphic. That’s because there’s a whole lot going on with this launch!
But first…
The White Slipper: A Retelling of The White Slipper
What can a poor apothecary offer the princess who has it all?
Princess River is the envy of all her peers, for her doting father has always promised her she could marry for love. But when he loses the healing slipper that prevents his ghastly foot injury from killing him, he makes a horrifying edict. The man who makes him an identical slipper and saves his life shall have River’s hand in marriage.
To River’s chagrin, such a man–poor and unknown–does come forward, claiming he’s found the secret cure. But River, discontent with helplessly handing over her future and her kingdom, seeks to learn about his past. To her surprise, however, her search reveals far more than she ever expected.
This mysterious young man may not only hold the true secret to helping her father…but he might be the one who claimed her heart long ago.
Delve into these standalone fairy tale retellings of lesser-known tales as told by Wendy and Peter Pan. The Nevertold fairy tales are not set in same world as the Classical Kingdoms Collection, but they have the same clean romance, magical mystery, and happily-ever-afters…just fun-sized
Author’s Note: This novella will also be appearing in the Nevertold Fairy Tale Novellas Bookset One. As I don’t know when the entire boxset will be released, however, I thought it would be fun to release this story independently since it’s ready to go!
What’s different about this launch?
- The ebook version is for sale on my website ONLY.
- For the first time, I’m offering a limited number of signed paperback copies.
- This book is somewhat of a sneak peek…
Why?
Why am I launching this book differently? Several reasons.
First, this book will be included in the Nevertold Fairy Tale Bookset #1, an anthology of brand new fairy tale retelling novellas. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, I’m not sure when this set of novellas will be coming out. So I decided to put the first book up for sale by itself. It seemed silly to have an entire book finished and just collecting dust on my computer. But don’t worry! I’m not ruining the anthology! There will be more stories in the final version as well!
Second, I’m trying to create an ecosystem for my readers where it’s just you and me. I don’t want middlemen getting in the way. If you’re buying directly from me, I don’t have to worry about the big stores changing their rules or algorithms and making it harder for us to find each other. I can also offer discounts and coupons this way as well, something I CAN’T do on most of the other stores. After my scare with Amazon threatening to pull my Neverland Trilogy because a bot reported it as stolen Disney property (which Disney promptly denied), I decided enough was enough. I was done relying on other companies for success.
And it’s not just to avoid the negatives. There are some really cool things about going direct! For one, I can offer discounts and coupons the way most online retailers don’t allow. For example, if you buy this book through my website, you’ll get a 20% off coupon for any other item in my store…including audiobooks and boxsets. And when you purchase directly through my store, I’m making more money than I would be through the online retailers because they’re not taking a cut of the profits.
What if I like to read through a particular book app?
You can still do that! I use Bookfunnel to deliver my ebook files. Bookfunnel was specifically designed to bypass difficult backloading techniques. When you get the download link, you’ll be asked how you want to read the book. You can choose to load it to your Kindle app, your Nook app, your Apple Books app, or another main app, or you can read it online or in the Bookfunnel App. Once you answer, it will be downloaded exactly the way you chose. And if you have trouble for some reason, I pay a highly trained team of specialists to help you. (Because no one wants me fooling around on their devices like I know what I’m doing…lol.)
Can I buy it in paperback?
You absolutely can. But even better than that, if you want a signed copy, a limited number of those will be available as well! (Unfortunately, I’m only shipping within the United States right now. This shipping thing is going to take me time to figure out.)

There’s an Original White Slipper?
There are some fairy tales that just don’t translate as well to longer novels. I mean, I’m sure they could be. But lesser-known fairy tales tend to be less popular with readers. We’re often looking for Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Little Mermaid, etc., and we tend to miss those fairy tales which are less well-known.
But some of those fairy tales really do deserve to be rediscovered. And The White Slipper is one of them. If you haven’t read this lovely little tale for yourself, you can find the original here!

My Soundtrack
I usually create entire soundtracks for my novels. This story was shorter than usual, so I don’t have a full soundtrack. But I do want to share the song I used to inspire me as I wrote. Think of it as the song they play during the credits of the movie…if it were a movie…which it isn’t.
Still, enjoy!
So what do you think? Let me know in the comments! I hope you love reading this little story just as much as I loved writing it! Remember, if you’re not subscribed to my email list, you should be! I give out bonus stories, sneak peeks, discounts, writing updates, and more! And as always, thank you SO much for being my reader. I couldn’t do this without you, and I hope you stick around for all the adventures to come!
Yay! Happy launch day!! I’m so inspired by all the incredible things you’re doing and can’t wait to hear how this launch goes! Also, I love this cover!! And I’m so excited for these lost fairytale novellas!
I looked at purchasing a signed copy (cause I love you!!!!), but unfortunately the shipping was too much for me at this time. But I’m going to get an Amazon copy! <3
The white slipper definitely deserved a spotlight in your classical fairytale collection. Thank you for noticing it.
Thank you!
