You read the rough draft. Now the full story is here. And I’m so thankful that you were a part of it. So if you’re ready to read this fairy tale in its final form, it’s yours for the taking!
Her kingdom is in ashes.
Her crown is worth even less.
Her betrothed is promised to another.
But this princess is determined to reclaim it all.
On her seventeenth birthday, Princess Maleen’s future couldn’t be brighter. Despite the loss of her parents at a young age and her controlling uncle’s constant paranoia, Maleen is on the cusp of everything she ever dreamed of. Her people adore her. Her coronation is only seven years away. And best of all, her childhood sweetheart, Prince Roburts, has proposed. Their two kingdoms, which have always had an uneasy relationship, will be united in peace for the first time since becoming sovereign nations of their own.
Unfortunately, this is more than her uncle can abide. Angered by her betrothal, he locks her in a tower in hopes that she’ll have come to her senses in seven years’ time when she comes of age to ascend the throne.
For seven years, Maleen tries to escape, expecting at any minute that her beloved will break down the door. But when seven years come and go, she realizes that escape is up to her if she ever wishes to see the sun again. Upon breaking out of the tower, however, she quickly finds that getting out was the easy part. War and death have torn the two kingdoms apart. And an even worse fate is awaiting her people and her beloved if she can’t find a way to muster her courage one more time.
The Seven Years Princess is the eleventh book in the Classical Kingdoms Collection series, but it can be read as a stand-alone story. Buy The Seven Years Princess today to escape into the world of clean, passionate romance, magical mysteries, and heroically won happily-ever-afters.
What’s different?
For those of you who didn’t see it when it happened, this book was a first. And by first, I mean that I published the entire rough draft as I wrote it, one chapter at a time. Of course…the rough draft is never the final draft. So you’re going to be getting even more fun in the final version!
How is it different?
Besides fewer typos? It’s longer! You get not only extended scenes, but you also get the epilogue!
Also, thanks to new technology, I was able to make the print version of this book extra special. This book is available in paperback and Hardback through amazon, and it’s going to be a beauty. Once I get the print version in, I’ll be posting pictures and a video to show you!
Extra Special Dedication
Most of you probably know this now, but this dedication is extra special because the loved ones it’s dedicated to are yours. So many of us lost people we loved during the last few years that it seemed right to dedicate this book to the ones we love and miss. So make sure to take a peek at the front of the book to see these special names for yourself.
The Nine Years Letters (with more coming!)
You know all those letters Maleen and Rob wrote to each other as they grew up? I was originally going to put the full nine years’ worth in the book, but they ended being so long that they slowed everything way down. I couldn’t get myself to delete them, however, so instead, I put them in a separate file and continued to write them. And now you get can get them for free from the Exclusive Content Tab if you’re part of my newsletter team.
And there will be even more! When we reach 25 reviews on Amazon, I’m going to release a bonus short from Queen Isa’s point of view! And when we reach 50 reviews after that? The heart-to-heart between Rob and his father after the wedding. So if you love this book, get your pen out and jot down your thoughts to post in your own review so we can celebrate soon after!
The Soundtrack
If you were at the Once Upon 2022 party I threw a few weeks ago, you’ll recognize this image. It’s the link to the Maid Maleen soundtrack! As usual, you can find the songs I used to inspire me as I wrote The Seven Years Princess and enjoy them for yourself!
Is this the end of the Classical Kingdoms Collection?
Of course not, silly. I’m going to continue writing fairy tales because I love them. But as you wait for the next Classical Kingdoms Collection, you can read my other fairy tales, my epic fantasy trilogies, The Autumn Fairy Trilogy and The Legacy of the Time Stones Trilogy (which is still being written as we speak), or you can look forward to my shorter fairy tale novella series, which (Lordwilling) should be debuting this summer!
What comes next?
To be honest, this launch is a little low-key compared to what I usually do. But I’m actually in the process of moving across the country, as the military is making us west-coasters again, so I am neck-deep in moving stuffs. But don’t worry! I’m still writing! You can keep up with me through my newsletter (also where you’ll get the password for the free bonus content if you haven’t already) or through my Facebook page, group, or Instagram. Keep checking in because we have exciting stuff coming up!

Drop a comment in the section below to tell me what you thought of this story-writing process. Did you wait until the whole thing was finished? Or did you read it already? Are you going to read it again in its shiny new form? Let me know!
As always, thank you so much for coming to this launch, and I hope you enjoy the tale of Maid Maleen.
I read each chapter as you released it, waited in anticipation for the draft of each new chapter, and enjoyed every bit of it.
Now I am going to order the hardback to enjoy it in its entirety ( probably on the swing with a hot chocolate) with a note at the front about enjoying the writing process and the year for memories sake.
This was my first book of yours. It was a masterpiece and did the fairytale with justice.
Aw, thanks! <3
